The Sette's unique straight-thru vertical transports design drops the grounds directly to the bin or portafilter, leaving minimal residual coffee in the chute. Rotation of the outer ring burr (with twice the surface area of the cone burr) and proprietary tooth geometry produce thru-put that is two to three times that of others in its class. Proprietary gear box (planetary + crown gear) that maximizes efficiency of torque transfer, resulting in lower power consumption and much less heat.
The 40mm conical S1 steel burrs manufactured by Etzinger in Liechtenstein are designed to give a grind profile which is exceptional for espresso and brew methods requiring a finer grind such as AeroPress, Hario V60, and most Automatic Brewers.
